Tuesday 8th  April saw the start of Na Piarsaigh Óga U-14s campaign, with our lads hosting Keady.

After all the recent rain, pitch was in excellent condition and the evening was perfect for our first outing. The game got off to a quick start with both team registering good early scores . Keady settled quickly and opened up an early 2 points lead. Ógs had some excellent play early on but failed to register the scores they deserved.

In true Ógs fashion they kept their heads up and a strong defensive display seemed to settle the whole team as they got to terms with the  Keady attack and registered 2 excellent scores to draw level. The first goal for Ógs settled all the nerves and the team grew in strength from that point.

By half time they had opened up a good lead but showed in the second half they were taking nothing for granted with the entire team sticking to the game plan and taking excellent scores from various positions as the second half progressed. Keady showed throughout the game some excellent skill and registered some fine scores of their own.

Na Piarsaigh Óga ran out deserved winners in the end and have shown how effort on the training pitch can pay off!

Next challenge is Tuesday night away to Silverbridge, good luck lads!

Special word to Conor and Diarmuid as they continue their recovery from recent injuries.
