For the second league weekend in a row, Na Piarsaigh Óga were beaten in a fiercely contested match away to Clann Éireann.

The home team was always a threat with their movement and high quality teamwork but Na Piarsaigh Óga, to their immense credit, kept going throughout and finished strongly with goals from Eoghan Hasson and Leah gribben.

All 26 players managed to get an opportunity to show their skills and thanks to the home team an extra period was played to ensure everyone got a minimum of 20 minutes.

This team, who were short of several key players, are definitely improving and are now looking forward to their next league game in a fortnights time as they have a bye next week to enjoy the Giro festivities in town.

Training continues on Wednesday 6pm-7.15pm. Don’t forget water and gum shield.
