Pearse Óg's travelled to Portadown on Sunday morning to play the very talented Tír na nÓg team, in the third round of the U-10 Go Games league. Once again Pearse Ógs fielded two teams in what turned out to be two very competitive games of football. The games were played in very wet conditions but both teams displayed great skill and were cheered on by a large travelling support. Once again many thanks to the parents for their continued support, and a special thanks to everyone who brought the players to the game. Well done to both teams on a good sporting game and a word of thanks to the referees who allowed the games to flow. The players all enjoyed their mornings football. Training continues on Wednesday night 6pm-7pm and Sunday morning 10.30am-12pm Remember your gum shield and water.

A very depleted Pearse Óg faced an extremely strong and talented Crossmaglen team on Saturday in Pearse Óg park. Always up against it and faced with a stiff breeze, Crossmaglen dominated from start to finish and established a match winning lead in the first half. Crossmaglen showed great determination and tremendous teamwork, but the Ógs, to their credit, worked tirelessly and established a platform in the second half through tremendous individual performances from Charles Leonard, Casey Mullan, Che donnelly and Pearse Óg man of the match Fionn McLoughlin. This is a very demanding league for this young Ógs team but so long as they hang in together, results will come. Training continues on Wednesday 6pm-7.15pm. Don’t forget water and gum shield.
