RESULTS/SCORES & REPORTS
Senior Men League
Na Piarsaigh Óga 0-20 Killeavy 1-10
Senior Ladies Mairead Farrell Cup
Na Piarsaigh Óga Senior Ladies played Edendork from Tyrone last Tuesday night in a very entertaining game. Young Sophie Treanor had a first taste of senior football and scored a goal with Katie Boylan playing well in full forward. All Na Piarsaigh Óga forwards registered scores. Edendork with a very tall mid-field held well to finish the half 3 up although some brilliant keeping from Clancyann this could have been more.
In the second half the Tyrone team pushed on but Ógs ladies came firing back in the last ten minutes to close the gap but the clock was against them. Well done Ursuala, Aoife, Connie with Captain Emma also to the fore. All the girls had a good run out against a strong Div 2 team. Well done to Niamh Rafferty who received Player Of The Match and thanks also to everyone involved in organising this prestigious event. Senior Ladies management.
Senior Reserves Championship Shield Final
Na Piarsaigh Óga 1-17 Mullabane 0-07
Na Piarsaigh Óga 1-16 Derrynoose 1-05
Na Piarsaigh Óga hosted Derrynoose tonight in the first round of the Minor Championship. After an initial settling in period, both teams began to play some bright enterprising football, with the visitors opening the scoring early on. However, soon Ógs began to find their range with some fine scores. The tenor of the game changed dramatically when Derrynoose had a man sent sent off, allowing Ógs, who had a significant wind advantage, to widen the scores. Further drama unfolded when the Na Piarsaigh Óga captain Calum Murray was black carded.
Derrynoose returned to the fray in the second half, revitalised albeit a man down. Despite their tremendous efforts they couldn’t break down a resolute Na Piarsaigh Óga team, who ultimately ran out deserving winners.
Congratulations to the lads on the win. We had some superb performers all throughout the team. Keep up the hard work and the results will come.
Thank you to the parents and supporters who came out tonight to support the team.
U14 Boys League
Na Piarsaigh Óga 6-13 Wolfe Tones 3-08
Our U14 young gaels were very unlucky to lose out by a mere 3 points on Thursday evening in the WAC Festival against local rivals Harps. Our lads put in a great effort. Well done to all involved
Our under 12.5 gaels made the short journey on Saturday to the Athletic Grounds to contest the All County finals. In the semi - final the Ógs met a strong Harps team and playing their usual brand of football built up a good lead. Our lads lost concentration and conceded two soft goals to let the Harps back into the game. In a very tight encounter the match went to extra time but our lads showed some great spirit and eventually ran out narrow winners. Next up we faced a very strong Clan na Gael team and carrying some injuries and tiredness our lads had to concede defeat. A great team effort by all our panel who stuck together all day. All our lads are a credit to the club especially Calum Hughes, Caolan McGinley and Ryan Mc Gahan. Well done lads keep up the good work.
U12 Girls Championship Semi Final
Na Piarsaigh Óga U12 girls travelled to Mullaghbrack this evening to take on Shane O'Neill's in the championship semi-final. Both teams took to the pitch and everyone could see it was going to be a tight game. From the throw-in both teams battled hard for every ball and the standard of football was brilliant. The teams traded scores throughout the match which finished level at full time.
The Ógs girls came out for extra time with renewed vigour and immense determination. They fought hard for every ball, showed exceptional skill and teamwork and at the end ran out worthy winners by 2 points.
The management are extremely proud of every girl and are delighted for them. They now proceed to the championship final which is due to be played in two weeks.
Thank you to all the friends and families who came to support the girls and cheered them on to the win.
Thank you to Shane O'Neill's for a tough but very sporting game. U12 Girls management.

U10 Billy Agnew Cup
Na Piarsaigh Óga V Armagh Harps
Na Piarsaigh Óga got off to a slow start going 4 points down after ten minutes but they then got the grips of the game scoring 5 unanswered points, Harps quickly replied with a point but the sharper Ógs replied with 2 more excellent points before Half Time Na Piarsaigh Óga 0-07 Harps 0-05
Second Half and the Harps again started smartly scoring 2 quick points leveling up the game 0-07 each, with great play Ógs scored another point, Harps replied with 2 over the bar but Ógs came back and converted a well earned point from very stylish play. 0-09 each with under five minutes left, with some place kicking not landing the Harps were able to get up the pitch and score resulting in our young gaels losing out by the narrowest of margins. Thanks to everyone for your support.
Na piarsaigh Óga would to thank everyone involved in running this prestigious tournament and a special thanks to the Agnew family.
