U-12.5 REPORT

On Wednesday night, Pearse Óg entertained their local rivals in the first match of the second phase of the league, having only played one challenge match following an extended break in July, the young Ógs team produced its best performance of the season. In all areas of the pitch, the Ógs were dominant and produced a performance full of intensity and pace with everyone playing their part in a great team performance. The team moved the ball quickly and with purpose, never giving the ball away and passing accurately to their teammates. The success was built on a strong midfield partnership of Ethan McKeown and the returning Connor Toner, while Ronan Davidson and Odhran Houlahan terrorised the harps defence throughout. However, the star performer, in a strong defensive display, was Aoife Boyle, ably assisted by Sean Ó’Neill, Aidan Harney and Lee Murtagh. On Thursday night, the team travel to Madden where another good performance will be needed to compete with a strong madden side.

U-10 REPORT

The U-10's travelled to Fingallians GAA Club in Dublin on Saturday to participate in the Festival of Football. Once again Pearse Ógs fielded two teams due to the high turnout of players. Teams from eight different counties took part in the competition and Pearse Ógs returned home with a trophy as division two winners. It was a great team effort from all the players and the standard of football was excellent. Many congratulations to all the players on this great achievement. After the tournament the U-10 team went to Croke Park to watch Armagh play Donegal in the All Ireland quarter final. The Players all enjoyed the experience of watching the Armagh team and all had a brilliant day at Croke Park even though the result wasn't in our favour. Thanks to Fingallians for a fantastic day of football. Many thanks to all the parents who helped out, very much appreciated. Training continues Wednesday night 6-7pm. Please remember your gum shield and water.

SENIOR LADIES

Hard luck to our Senior Ladies who narrowly lost out to Tír Na nÓg in a highly competitive and entertaining game. Congratulations to Ursula Nic Parthalainn who received Player of the Match. We would like to wish a speedy recovery to the Tír Na nÓg player who was injured.

MINOR

Hard Luck to our Minors who lost out to Crossmaglen in Championship by 1 point at Pearse Óg Park. Well done to all involved, great game of football.
