A fantastic winter filled full of fun was completed on Sunday past by the boys and girls who participated in the Fun Fives. Up to 40 kids aged 7-10 took part in the Na Piarsaigh Óga organised introduction to Gaelic Games in Armagh Orchard Leisure Centre from 2-4pm each Sunday from January through to the end of March.
FUN 5’s is also used to introduce new coaches to the art of coaching the game. Na Piarsaigh Óga would like to congratulate all the children who took part and look forward to seeing the kids return as new members after Easter when the full coaching season commences again.
Some fantastic skills were on display and the coaches take great encouragement from the efforts on display. Na Piarsaigh Óga would also like to thank the youngest coach ever to volunteer, Diarmuid Fields of Irish Street who never missed a session. The kids and adults all enjoyed his participation.
Welcome too to the new coaches who started out as parents but quickly offered their services and are now qualified to assist with the new season unfolding. At the end of the event Felicity O'Hara and BJ McCay, longstanding coaches with the club, presented the children with Water Bottles featuring our Club and County Crests.
Thanks also to Mark Reilly AcdcSigns for your help.
